Jakarta, 10 February 2025 — ASIX conducted a strategic workshop at the Smartfren Office in Sabang to advance discussions on the development of the AI Song System, an initiative carried out in collaboration with Lembaga Manajemen Kolektif Nasional (LMKN). The system is designed to support Indonesia’s creative industry by improving how music usage is tracked and how royalties are managed in public spaces.
The workshop focused on refining the system’s core capabilities, particularly its ability to automatically detect songs played in commercial and public environments—including malls, cafés, fitness centers, and event venues. By identifying music in real time, the AI Song System aims to provide a more accurate and transparent mechanism for calculating royalty entitlements for artists and rights holders.
Discussions covered key technical considerations such as detection accuracy, data processing workflows, and potential integration pathways that would enable the system to operate at nationwide scale. The workshop also outlined strategic steps for ensuring that the technology supports fair royalty distribution and aligns with industry standards and regulatory expectations.
This initiative represents ASIX’s commitment to applying AI in ways that create meaningful, real-world value. Through continued collaboration and research, the AI Song System is expected to contribute to a more accountable and modernized approach to royalty collection—strengthening support for Indonesia’s creative talents and safeguarding the rights of musicians across the country.
