Jakarta 1-2 October — Artificial intelligence is increasingly becoming part of everyday work, from drafting and analyzing information to streamlining routine tasks and improving how employees approach their responsibilities. But making AI genuinely useful at work requires more than simply having access to the technology—it requires knowing how to apply it effectively.
To support practical AI adoption in the workplace, ASIX, together with Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), hosted an AI training workshop titled “AI Training: AI for Everyday Work”.
The two-day workshop brought together 35 participants from Tekno Infrastruktur Sukses (TIS), ASIX, and IPM, creating an opportunity for employees from different organizations to learn, practice, and explore how AI can be incorporated into their everyday workflows.
Turning AI Knowledge Into Practical Skills

The workshop featured Frado Sibrani, PhD, MBA, MT, SSi, CCISO, CEH, CHFI, and Prof. Dr. Ir. Ian Josef Matheus Edward, SH., MH., MT. as speakers.
Throughout the sessions, the speakers shared insights into the practical use of AI while providing hands-on training for participants. Rather than focusing only on the concepts behind AI, the workshop encouraged participants to directly engage with AI and understand how it can be applied to their own work.
This practical approach is increasingly important as employees across different roles are expected to work alongside AI-enabled tools. Understanding how to use AI effectively can help employees approach everyday tasks more efficiently while maintaining the quality of their work.
AI for Everyday Work
The focus of the workshop was on making AI relevant to the day-to-day responsibilities of modern employees.
AI can support a wide range of workplace activities, including processing information, developing ideas, preparing content, analyzing data, and assisting with repetitive tasks. When applied appropriately, these capabilities can help employees spend less time on routine processes and more time on work that requires human judgment and expertise.
Through hands-on exercises, participants were given the opportunity to explore these possibilities directly and develop a better understanding of how AI can complement their existing skills.
The workshop also highlighted an important aspect of AI adoption: productivity and quality should go hand in hand. Using AI effectively is not simply about completing tasks faster. Employees also need to understand how to review outputs, provide appropriate direction, and use AI in ways that support the quality and objectives of their work.
Building Practical AI Readiness

As AI continues to develop, organizations have an important role to play in helping their employees build the skills needed to work effectively with the technology.
Training initiatives such as “AI Training: AI for Everyday Work” provide an opportunity to move beyond awareness and into practical application. By combining expert insights with hands-on learning, employees can gain a clearer understanding of where AI can add value to their daily responsibilities.
For ASIX and ITB, the workshop represents an opportunity to support AI literacy and practical adoption among professionals from different organizations.
As the workplace continues to evolve alongside AI, developing the ability to use these technologies effectively will become an increasingly important part of modern professional skills.
